Finding my path in life

Through out our nation we seem to lack certain positions in life,Nursing being at the top of the list. My major and my goal in life is to persue an honorable career in nursing but there are so many to choose from, you maybe asking well Matt what career in nursing do you plan to take? My simple answer to that is PICU, this stands for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I found an interest in this line of work through my mother also by meeting one of the children she was taking care of, his name is Carlos. Carlos had a life expectance of a year to live but he over came odds and lived to be 4 years old. When I first met him he had smiled as if to say hi. A few weeks after that Carlos past way leaving my mom in not only in pain or heart broke but in anguwise. After a few years in the PICU she found out it wasn't easy to see a child die so she choose to go another route in the nursing feild. I see this not as a challange in life but to help a life. It takes four years to obtain a nursing degree for PICU and pays you a little over 45,000 a year. For most people its about the money for me society is calling my name as if to say help Matt. As a child, I wanted to play sports for a career but I soon found out its not for me. Then I start to think maybe the life I save will be the next president or maybe he might be a pro at a dream I had once had. We are not promised tomorrow so I live each day one at a time. My views of life have been changed in many ways but in some weird way it all connects. I don't want to stop there with my career because I also plan to further my education in nursing by 4 more years but we will save that for another day. Until then look up at the sky at night and realize that truely the sky is the limit.

Career

My nursing program will take me 4 years the pay will be a sume of 60,000 plus a year as well. I'm interested in nursing because my mom is a nuse and I find it to be a honorable job that has a lot of communitcation and helps those in need. I would like to deal with infance, I feel to help a life is to give a life not taking it.
